Lokasin Bladesmith

A powerful mystic Aesir who has a heavy focus both on illusions, but also manipulating dimensional energies directly, especially distances and space. He comes from a family of blade smiths and took the name Lokasin in honor of Loki and his trickster powers at the age of 9 when his tribe's people take their true name. He's a skilled smith of metals, and can forge unique magickal metals that have shape shifting properties, allowing swords, daggers, and armors to have more than one form, often up to five. More over he can use his spacial powers to make his illusions FEEL solid, giving him a wide range of abilities in this. He's an expert at disrupting a foe's rhythm, and has a wide range of study into nature magick of the elves, and runic magicks as well. This well rounded set of focuses combined with his intense focus on illusions and spacial magicks makes him hard to pin down to those who don't know him, or know about him, as initially he appears to have a powerful but limited ability set, until he then expands into his other areas. That said, while multifaceted in his learning, he is still far superior in his illusion and spacial magicks over his other areas. The heavy focus on compressing and extending space makes him fantastic at defensive arts as well, and capable at areas of manifestation often bringing goals closer, and pushing dangers away. He is a natural teacher, and enjoys helping others learn and refine their “own true paths.” In any fight he focuses on defense, but has a wide encompassing set of offensive long range techniques. It is not that he can not fight up close, but he knows his powers and abilities are more suited to range, so focuses on that.
 
His heavy focus on illusions is contrasted strongly with his adherence to the concepts of ideals like truth and justice. He has a very gentle, compassionate, kind, and easy going nature that seems to contrast his facial features. He appears as an older, strong, well built man, often wearing a tunic or winter clothes instead of robes that are common among many mystics. His intense gaze is offset by a subtle smile, showing his incredible compassionate nature. He is one who believes compassion is never misguided, yet also that fighting for a friend or ally is the noblest honor.
